  • 1.  How to revert factory default state SRX and EX?

    Posted 03-10-2015 18:45

Please teach me how to revert the SRX and EX to factory default state.

After execute "request system zeroize" command, I was noticed that there remains custom user's home directories.

If it is necessary to revert to factory default state for a variety of reasons, are there any matters necessary except for the following steps?

    1.running "request system zeroize" command.

2.running "rm" command on BSD shell.

for example, " rm -fr /var/home/username"

3.(optional) running "request system license delete" command.

4.(optional for SRX) running "set chassis cluster disable" command.

5.(optional for EX) running "request virtual-chassis vc-port" command.

    #EX
    #SRX

before running you step 2 I would suggest first reboot the device login as root en remove all the

    user home dirs in /var/home.

Also cleanout the root homedir in /root

    My order would be :

    Step 3

    Step 4

    Step 5

    Step 1

    reboot

    Step 2
