    Hi pluu!

Are you referring to which logical interface? Could you also indicate the platform you are using?

    Thanks

    Esteban,

    Platform: PTX10001

    Hi Pluu,

PTX10001 is a single PFE system, that means all the interface are mapped to PFE0.

PS: Please accept my response as solution if it answers your query, kudos are appreicated too!

    Thanks

Do you know the command to determine which PFE has which interface ports? I did 'show pfe id info', and it shows 3 active PFEs; though the first Active PFE is 0.

    login@router:pfe> show pfe id info

    First Active PFE            : 0

Effective First Active PFE  : 0

Number of Active PFEs       : 3

    Pfe Mask                    : 0x0000000000000007

    PFE-ID   Down-Flags   Global PFE-ID   PFE-State   PFE-Name

    ------   ----------   -------------   ---------   --------

       0         0             0            ONLINE    /Chassis[0]/Fpc[0]/Pfe[0]

       1         0             2            ONLINE    /Chassis[0]/Fpc[0]/Pfe[2]

       2         0             4            ONLINE    /Chassis[0]/Fpc[0]/Pfe[4]

are you able to run this command from pfe:

    show mtip-mac summary

I think you should see the PFE in Chip/Asic column

    @vlsingh:

Yes, I think 'show mtip-mac summary' is the correct command to figure out what port is connected to what PFE.
Output is below, please let me know if my interpretation is correct.

Ports 1-12   (indicated by Index column) connects to PFE 0 (indicated by PECHIP column)

Ports 13-24 (indicated by Index column) connects to PFE 1 (indicated by PECHIP column)

Ports 25-36 (indicated by Index column) connects to PFE 2 (indicated by PECHIP column)

Why is port being called Index?

    root@router::pfe> show mtip-mac summary
                         MTIP CHMAC Summary
     Index Name PECHIP PORTNR MAC-Inst MAC-Ch MAC-TYPE

    Hi Pluu,

Yes your interpretation is correct regarding port to pfe mapping. Why its called index only a developer can answer 🙂

PS: Please accept my answer as solution if it answers your query, kuods are appreciated too!

    Thanks

It's physical interface, not logical interface.

    Hi,

maybe you can do something with the (a bit postprocessed) output from "show pfe next-hop" when filtering for your in use interface types (ether?!). Atm. I don't have a representative system at hand to try though.
