I was wondering if there are versions of JUNOS like the IOS, or there is just one version with all features available..

if so why are some options not available, like PPPoE in my router...

Hi,

There is one version of JUNOS with all supported features contained (M&T). The only exception is J-Series where in newer software there is optional Enhanced Services support.

Please notice, that Juniper routers are mainly used as efficient core routers, where feature like PPPoE are not usually needed. If You need such features, You should take a look at more edge-focused ERX/E Series which uses JUNOSe software.

Any comments are welcomed!

Have a nice afternoon,

All the best,

Gniewko

PPPoE is supported on the J-series routers. For more details please see the configuration guide
