hi, is there a way to practice JunOS Firewall in a lab environment using GNS3?

Yes, you can use vSRX:

http://www.juniper.net/us/en/products-services/security/srx-series/vsrx/

To use vSRX in GNS3 just google using these two terms and you will find a lot of links showing you how you can use vSRX in GNS3.

if I have this image: junos-vsrx-12.1X47-D15.4

That image is for a juniper firewall or juniper router?

The reason I ask, i'm not sure whether the commands in juniper firewall will work in juniper router.

You can use it with both virtual box/vmware.

There is no support from Juniper on how to use vsrx with gns3, but as I said, do a simple search with google and you will find plenty of links showing you how to integrate vsrx in gns3.
