The device is already running on 15.1R6 release which has a fix to prevent the FPC might crash and restart when non-Juniper SFP is used in MIC-3D-20GE-SFP-E or MIC-3D-20GE-SFP-EH because of the ISR 2 (MIC error interrupt) might be running off over 2.5 second due to unknown reason.

Although the following message with severity ERROR will be reported every pic periodic time if interrupt count is non-zero. These messages are harmless and does not points to any hardware issue and can be ignored.

    Hi Folks,

We may have to upgrade the Junos of the box with the fix for PR1270420; since 15.1R6.7 is exposed to the below PR. Since there is a probability of MIC reboot when hitting the same.

    Resolved In: 15.1R6-S1 15.1R7 16.1R5 16.2R2 16.2R3

On MIC-3D-20GE-SFP-E and MIC-3D-20GE-SFP-EH, an interrupt threshold was introduced, if MIC error interrupts are more than the threshold (> 2500 per 5min), the MIC will be restarted. Due to that change, MIC error interrupts will hog the CPU when restart is initiated. PR1270420
