SRX 3400 is running in cluster. Another firewall also have h/w installation in same slots but they are not facing issue.
SRX version is 12.3
I've seent this type of behavior on other chassis for two different reasons
Hardware problem with the card itself
Not enough power available for the new card
Check the power supply operation and amps available on the chassis having the issue
thank you for the reply.
I managed to find out it could be because SRX 3400 doesn't have enhanced DC.
But now point is if SRX 3400 has max 4 SPC. and in formt CFM we can't have side by side SPC, then how can node be functional when SPC is inserted in 2 3 4?
Also we observed we faced
Reason: FPC misconfiguration
Total CPU DRAM 0 MB
Total RLDRAM 0 MB
Total DDR DRAM 0 MB
Max Power Consumption 0 Watts
Slot 2 information:
Any idea why we see FPC misconfiguration?
I have not used the SRX3400 but on MX series this message is generated in two circumstances.
when the power budget is exceeded by the types of cards installed
When the combination of cards in the chassis is not valid.
Check chapter 2 in the SRX3400 hardware guide to be sure the card numbers, slot location and minimum requirements are all being met.
Also verify the power supply size for the card budgets too as you did get these alarms in the first post.
