I wonder if someone can help. I have x2 Juniper routers on LAN side where Primary is tracking an WAN interface and when that port is down secondary router automatically takes over.
I have noticed when there is network outage that WAN port stays up as link is not broken , as the port stays up failover never kicks in which is obvious as i am tracking a port that remains up. Is there any way I can track default BGP route I am learning from ISP or may be both default route and WAN interface on Priamry router.
I am injecting default route from BGP into ospf and also exporting all ospf routes back to BGP. Problem with vrrp 0.0.0.0/0 track is when BGP route is gone due to outage - the ospf default from other end still remains up hence vrrp never kicks in.
My question is in juniper is there a concept of tracking default route with next-hop and when that particular route disappears the vrrp failover ?
