[ Edited ]
‎08-05-2019 06:15 AM

I want get SRX1500 cpu,but zabbix items display "No Such Instance currently exists at this OID".

device version:15.1X49-D60.7

zabbix version:3.4.3

snmp test on zabbix server:

snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 172.16.X.X 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.1.13.1.8.9.1.0

return:

SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.2636.3.1.13.1.8.9.1.0.0 = Gauge32: 2

/////////////////

snmpget -v 2c -c public 172.16.X.X 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.1.13.1.8.9.1.0

return:

SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.2636.3.1.13.1.8.9.1.0 = No Such Instance currently exists at this OID

I don't understand why snmpget cannot get value,but snmpwalk can.

I test other models (SRX1400、SRX300..)with same oid normal

anyone help me,thanks!!

Hi Catalyst,

I tried in few SRX series devices(SRX1500, SRX340, SRX345 and SRX345) where if the RE CPU usage has to be polled then we should use SNMP-WALK.

Could you please let me know what is the problem in using SNMP-WALK?

Thanks,

If you want to use snmpget , please use the complete oid. You are missing a ".0"

Please use " 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.1.13.1.8.9.1.0.0 "

labroot@SRX1500-r002> show snmp mib get decimal 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.1.13.1.8.9.1.0.0
jnxOperatingCPU.9.1.0.0 = 1

labroot@SRX1500-r002> show snmp mib walk jnxOperatingDescr
jnxOperatingDescr.1.1.0.0 = node0 midplane
jnxOperatingDescr.1.2.0.0 = node1 midplane
jnxOperatingDescr.2.1.1.0 = node0 Power Supply 0 @ 0/0/*
jnxOperatingDescr.2.2.1.0 = node1 Power Supply 0 @ 0/0/*
jnxOperatingDescr.4.1.1.0 = node0 Fan Tray 0 Fan 0
jnxOperatingDescr.4.2.1.0 = node0 Fan Tray 1 Fan 0
jnxOperatingDescr.4.3.1.0 = node0 Fan Tray 2 Fan 0
jnxOperatingDescr.4.4.1.0 = node0 Fan Tray 3 Fan 0
jnxOperatingDescr.4.5.1.0 = node1 Fan Tray 0 Fan 0
jnxOperatingDescr.4.6.1.0 = node1 Fan Tray 1 Fan 0
jnxOperatingDescr.4.7.1.0 = node1 Fan Tray 2 Fan 0
jnxOperatingDescr.4.8.1.0 = node1 Fan Tray 3 Fan 0
jnxOperatingDescr.7.1.0.0 = node0 FPC: FEB @ 0/*/*
jnxOperatingDescr.7.2.0.0 = node1 FPC: FEB @ 0/*/*
jnxOperatingDescr.8.1.1.0 = node0 PIC: 12x1G-T-4x1G-SFP-4x10G @ 0/0/*
jnxOperatingDescr.8.2.1.0 = node1 PIC: 12x1G-T-4x1G-SFP-4x10G @ 0/0/*
jnxOperatingDescr.9.1.0.0 = node0 Routing Engine
jnxOperatingDescr.9.1.1.0 = node0 USB Hub
jnxOperatingDescr.9.2.0.0 = node1 Routing Engine
jnxOperatingDescr.9.2.1.0 = node1 USB Hub

This should be a sofware bug which is fixed in later releases.  You can file a JTAC case to find the exact PR and fixed releases.

I can see the same issue in 15.1X49-D60.7  but the issue is not seen in 15.1X49-D170.4.

Please see the results below.

HI catalyst@juniper !

      Were you able to upgrade and verify that snmpget works on your system?

       I tried to look at the public PRs but couldnt find any matching. JTAC should be able to help with the PR.

       But upgrade should fix your problem.

Please, Mark My Solution Accepted if it Helped, Kudos are Appreciated too!!!
