    Hi All,

I have a basic question which is not in somehow clear to me:

Peer                     AS      InPkt     OutPkt    OutQ   Flaps Last Up/Dwn State|#Active/Received/Accepted/Damped
    2.2.2.2               xxxxxx 84779662    1010385       0       6    43w4d22h 9/698362/698362/0    0/0/0/0

Problem is with the inof about prefixes received: I read

    9/698362/698362/0 means

    9 active

    698362 received

    698362 accpeted

    0 damped

Easy question: can someone of you explain in a few words what is the meaning of active in this context?

I knoe the meaning of active route selected among different options/protocol but I think that in ths case means something else. Any hint?

    Than you All.

    Hi,

active is effectively the number of BGP prefixes active [active-path] in the routing-table after protocol selection.

    You could verify using:

show route receive-protocol bgp 2.2.2.2 active-path table xxx | except prefix | except inet | count

    Cheers,

    Ashvin
