confused at import rib btw inet.0 and vpns.

‎02-16-2015 06:37 PM

the current PEs are using import rib from inet.0 to vpn and exchanging routes by inet.0 by default,  , I also could find another route table called bgp.l3vpn.0, for juniper, the routes transferred by bgp.l3vpn.0 would never be imported to other ribs, is that right?   and what's the difference btw them? thanks.

Basicaly the bgp.l3vpn.0 holds the routes received through mpbgp and include the route distinguishers.  From that table they are automatically moved to the appropriate vrf table based on the route targets and route policies if you are using explicit route policy.

I hope this helps,
