  • 1.  umass0: BBB reset failed, IOERROR

    Juniper SRX 210H in a 2 node cluster.  Both nodes are running firmware junos-srxsme-12.1X46-D40.2.

     

    Getting the following error via SYSLOG from both nodes:

     

    umass0: BBB reset failed, IOERROR

    umass0: BBB bulk-in clear stall failed, IOERROR

     

    Both nodes did have a USB drive attached days ago but that drive is no longer attached and the error is still being thrown.  The drive was umounted properly when removed.  The USB drive was formatted NTFS.

     

    Any ideas on how to clear this error?

    This is a free BSD OS error with the USB mount system.  Generally this will require a reboot to recover which would be the safest course.

     

    You could try to reset the usb config.  This would need to be run from the shell as this is an OS command not Junos.

     

    usbconfig reset
