Add SRX Chassis Cluster Device to Network Director

‎06-24-2014 05:45 PM

I've just installed a new deployment of Junos Space ( Network Platform 13.1p6.3, Network Director  1.5, Security Director 13.1p2.3 )   and I'm having trouble adding an SRX Chassis Cluster to the Network Director. The device gets added perfectly without incident to the Network Platform. The issue is  it isn't migrated to Network Director and when I discover it from Network Director it discovers it without incident; but when I click on managed devices I can't find it. I've attached a screenshot of the "view discovery status" for it.

The configuration on the SRX Chassis Cluster is as follows :

set groups node0 system syslog file default-log-messages any any
set groups node0 system syslog file default-log-messages match "(requested 'commit' operation)|(copying configuration to juniper.save)|(commit complete)|ifAdminStatus|(FRU power)|(FRU removal)|(FRU insertion)|(link UP)|transitioned|Transferred|transfer-file|(license add)|(license delete)|(package -X update)|(package -X delete) | GRES"
set groups node0 system syslog file default-log-messages structured-data
set groups node0 interfaces fxp0 unit 0 family inet address &*(&(*
set groups node0 snmp description &*(&(*
set groups node0 snmp location &*(&(*
set groups node0 snmp contact &*(&(*
set groups node0 snmp community junos_space authorization read-write
set groups node1 system host-name &*(&(*
set groups node1 system syslog file default-log-messages any any
set groups node1 system syslog file default-log-messages match "(requested 'commit' operation)|(copying configuration to juniper.save)|(commit complete)|ifAdminStatus|(FRU power)|(FRU removal)|(FRU insertion)|(link UP)|transitioned|Transferred|transfer-file|(license add)|(license delete)|(package -X update)|(package -X delete) | GRES"
set groups node1 system syslog file default-log-messages structured-data
set groups node1 interfaces fxp0 unit 0 family inet address &*(&(*
set groups node1 snmp description &*(&(*
set groups node1 snmp location &*(&(*
set groups node1 snmp contact &*(&(*
set groups node1 snmp community junos_space authorization read-write

set system syslog user * any emergency
set system syslog file messages any notice
set system syslog file messages authorization info
set system syslog file interactive-commands interactive-commands any

set snmp community junos_space authorization read-write
set snmp trap-group space version v2
set snmp trap-group space targets &*(&(*

set system login user junos_space uid 2001
set system login user junos_space class super-user
set system login user junos_space authentication encrypted-password "$1$sdfs&*(&(*vAWgOoM3MsdF4Rlub0"
set system services ssh root-login allow
set system services netconf ssh

What could be the issue ? How can I add it to Network Director ?

Thanks,
Hisham

For SRX devices you will need to use Security Director to manage them, Network Director is for routing/switching/wireless device families.

Thank you for your reply techrider, I was wondering if you knew a way to at least show the SRX from the topology view of the Network Director ?

Thanks,
Hisham
