Hi All

I'm having a problem with Junos Space 13.1P1.14 in my lab. I have 4 srx-240 devices all same hardware version (high memory), same software release (12.1X45-D10), almost same config.

One of the devices fails to synchronize to Space (see picture attached). The message that job manager gives is

Juniper Device but Sync failed
Device has been added but failed to synchronize
Please try manual re-synchronization
Error : Error while reading config from device: srxD-1
Detail : javax.persistence.EntityExistsException: org.hibernate.exception.ConstraintViolationException: Could not execute JDBC batch update

I tried the following and this didn't help: 

- Manual re-sync

- Delete / add device

- Re-install software on SRX

- Re-install Space from scratch

It is still the same for this device. I don't see any ill symptoms on it such as error logs etc.

Any ideas?

Hi Petr,

after a JTAC case I solved the issue. It's related to SRX license. Just generate and install a "demo license" on the SRX (for any UTM feature) and the Junos Space will synchronize the device.

Who could think that SRX was the only one without any license key??

I am having the same issue but with EX4300 VC, any ideas?

Good solution but why the ... doesnt Juniper fix their stuff? :x

For me, I had one SRX for a POC, testing out features with trial licenses. Then used it to build a cluster. Impossible to import from the node that didnt have the licenses activated. After a failover to the node with the active triallicenses, everything worked as it should.

Hi All

I have the same problem but the EX9214 device.

This synchronizes in Junos Space and no synchronizes in Network Director.

I tried the following and this didn't help: 

- Manual re-sync

- Delete / add device

Please your help, ideas?
