[ Edited ]

Does anyone have out put of a MIB walk for the MX204 interfaces MIB subtrees? I havent receievd ny 204 yet, but I want to configure my SNMP poller. Im not sure which interface indexes are used for each of the ports. I know cisco does some funky things with reserved vlans taking the first few interface indexes.

You can use the following command on the CLI of the MX204 for which you want to find the snmp indexes of each interface.

 "show snmp mib walk ifName"

labroot> show snmp mib walk ifName
ifName.1 = fxp0
ifName.4 = lsi
ifName.5 = dsc
ifName.6 = lo0
ifName.7 = tap
ifName.8 = gre
ifName.9 = ipip
ifName.10 = pime
ifName.11 = pimd
ifName.12 = mtun
ifName.13 = fxp0.0
ifName.16 = lo0.0
ifName.22 = lo0.16385
ifName.116 = em2
ifName.118 = em2.32768
ifName.152 = em3
ifName.153 = em3.0
ifName.154 = em4
ifName.155 = em4.0
ifName.501 = jsrv
ifName.502 = jsrv.1
ifName.503 = rbeb
ifName.504 = cbp0
ifName.505 = pip0
ifName.506 = fti0
ifName.507 = fti1
ifName.508 = fti2
ifName.509 = fti3
ifName.510 = fti4
ifName.511 = fti5
ifName.512 = fti6
ifName.513 = fti7
ifName.514 = demux0
ifName.515 = irb
ifName.516 = vtep
ifName.517 = esi
ifName.518 = pp0
ifName.519 = lc-0/0/0
ifName.520 = lc-0/0/0.32769
ifName.521 = pfh-0/0/0
ifName.522 = pfe-0/0/0
ifName.523 = pfe-0/0/0.16383
ifName.524 = pfh-0/0/0.16383
ifName.525 = pfh-0/0/0.16384
ifName.526 = xe-0/0/0:0
ifName.527 = xe-0/0/0:1
ifName.528 = xe-0/0/0:2
ifName.529 = xe-0/0/0:3
ifName.530 = xe-0/0/1:0
ifName.531 = xe-0/0/1:1
ifName.532 = xe-0/0/1:2
ifName.533 = xe-0/0/1:3
ifName.534 = xe-0/0/2:0
ifName.535 = xe-0/0/2:1
ifName.536 = xe-0/0/2:2
ifName.537 = xe-0/0/2:3
ifName.538 = xe-0/0/3:0
ifName.539 = xe-0/0/3:1
ifName.540 = xe-0/0/3:2
ifName.541 = xe-0/0/3:3
ifName.542 = xe-0/1/0
ifName.543 = xe-0/1/1
ifName.544 = xe-0/1/2
ifName.545 = xe-0/1/3
ifName.546 = xe-0/1/4
ifName.547 = xe-0/1/5
ifName.548 = xe-0/1/6
ifName.549 = xe-0/1/7
ifName.550 = jptap
ifName.553 = xe-0/1/6.32767
ifName.555 = mif
ifName.556 = mif.64000

Or you can use ( below the interface index on xe-0/0/0:0 is 526 , xe-0/0/0:1 is 527 and so on.

labroot> show snmp mib walk ifName | grep xe-
ifName.526 = xe-0/0/0:0
ifName.527 = xe-0/0/0:1
ifName.528 = xe-0/0/0:2
ifName.529 = xe-0/0/0:3
