    Hi,

I have a question about SNMP Traps on NSM, is it possible to configure it on a NSM setup on a Red Hat OS ?

I know it's possible to configure it on NSMXpress (NSM Appliance) but no information is available on the NSM software documentation.

    Thank you,

    Best regards,

    Brahim

    Hi Chandra,

    Thank you for your feedback.

Unfortunatenely, the link provided doesn't resolve my problem. In fact, im looking for traps snmp not polling.

In the NSM Appliance's version (NSMXpress) we can traps this event:

    ■ Disk space low
    ■ Memory low
    ■ CPU high
    ■ NSM start/stop
    ■ Admin Logon/Logoff
    ■ External IP unreachable

I would like to configure this traps too on my NSM Software.

    Any idea ?

    Brahim

I know some of them can be done. Like Admin login & logout as an event is generated and using log2action in NSM, we can configure SNMP.

Let me research on the other options & will let you know.

    Thanks,
    Chandra

    net-snmp-5.3.2.2-5.el5.i386.rpm
    net-snmp-utils-5.3.2.2-5.el5.i386.rpm
    net-snmp-libs-5.3.2.2-5.el5

    my system is RedHat 5.3

    Thanks,
    Chandra
