The Open University is a strategic addition to Juniper’s academic alliance program. With one of the largest global student footprints, The Open University will extend the reach of Juniper technology to an increased number of students. This in turn will help generate an increased pipeline of new Juniper skills entering the market which are much sought after by industry.
Juniper welcomes the opportunity to launch this new partnership by hosting a guest lecture for Open University students and faculty (12th April 2016). The topic of the guest lecture will focus on network automation:
“With the growth in interest and adoption of Cloud technologies, the requirement for automating the delivery of services from the network layer is becoming ever more critical. Software Defined Networking (SDN) is often positioned as the nirvana for solving the challenges of automating the delivery of network services. This lecture will focus on how SDN is being used to deliver this vision of agile networks that automatically respond to the demands of its consumers.”
Going forward, Juniper Networks looks forward to a robust and successful partnership with the OU that will add value and diversity to The Open University curriculum as well as generating the future skills the market demands.
