  • 1.  ACX5048 - 10GE interface licenses

    Dear community.

     

    Could you please advise me about 10GE interfaces on ACX5048 router? There are Right To Use (RTU) licenses for 10GE interfaces (enforcable on ACX5K) per datasheet/price list.

     

    1. Are there any 10GE interfaces on ACX5048 enable out of factory or we do need RTU license to enable each of the 10GE ports? Are the licenses enforced?
    2. Are the RTU licenses for 10GE interfaces cumulative (additive)?
      i.e.  need 18 ports => we can buy  1x 16 port license + 2x 1 port license
      or is it next higher capacity model i.e. need 18 ports => we need to buy  1x 24 port license

    I have asked my fellow Juniper SE as well, but waiting for reply yet.

    Hi all.

     

    I found the answer in configurator tool for partners (https://solutionbuilder.juniper.net😞

     Right to use licenses should be purchased for each used 10GE ports. The licenses are stackable and can be mixed/matched to support the required number of ports.

     

    Hope this helps somebody else in future.

     

    Next time I need to do more due diligence checks across the availaible tools.
