Age of Juniper devices by Serial Number

Hello all,

I don't know where else to post this, please move it to the correct subforum if there is one :-)

We've got a couple of MX routers and EX switches. By specifying the Serial Number of a device, how can one check how old the device actually is? Or is there another way to determine the age of a Juniper device?

Thanks in advance!

Does it show up in the serial number entitlement tool?

The original bar code labels on the back of the chassis include the manufacture date.

Hi spuluka,

Ugh, I feel quite stupid now. So that's what the big sticker means on top of the device :-)

The problem now is how I'm going to check the manufacture date of the devices while they're in production.
