As i'm understood to overcome issue PADO delay failover between to BNG MX is using MX Virtual Chassis setup. But using MX virtual chassis setup it need the physical link direct connected each other (heartbeat) and it not advisable setup as VC if geo-location. So may i know whether the heartbeat VC can be transfer using IGP protocol like other vendor can so it can prevent issue on PADO Delay setup? Let's say the BNG consists of IPOE & PPPOE setup.
Appreciate someone feedback from expert level "PS / PLM" team or other person that has facing this kind of use case.
Re: Any other method to prevent PADO Delay on BNG MX?
Can you please elaborate on your scenario? PADO delay is a feature that is typically used when two (or more) separate MX BNGs service the same access network, and one of them (where this feature is configured) responds to incoming PPPoE PADI packets after a configured delay. In such a way one MX can be the primary BNG for a specific domain, and backup for another (distributing the load and providing redundancy).
