COS filter input and processing

Vlan17 {

    vlan-id 17
    filter {
        input classes_internet;
    }
    l3-interface vlan.17

HI,

I have input policy applied on vlan 17. The said policy  inspect packet and put into forwarding queues. Now as the policy is applied inbound, will the hit count on forwarding classes be seen on outbound interface or on in bound interface.

VLan 17 has port ge-0/0/1 and ge-0/0/2 in it and packet is coming into ge-0/0/1 and going out of ge-0/0/2

You should see the counters on the output interface incrementing. 'show interfaces ge-0/0/2 extensive' should show increments in counter for the forwarding-class corresponding to your traffic.

The command

show class-of-service

will give you the status across the board for all steps and interfaces
