CoC VPN problem routing BGP from VRF

‎01-19-2014 03:28 PM

Hi I'm trying to build a Carrier-of-Carrier VPN but am having problems announcing the remote router from a VRF that's running BGP to a CE. I can receive a BGP4 route from the CE but cannot announce a BGP route from the BGP process running in the VRF. I've tested the policy and it matches, but does not announce the route.

policy-options {
policy-statement VRF-to-BGP {
term a {
from rib ASN2-CoC-vpn1.inet.0;
then accept;
}
term z {
then reject;
}
}
}
routing-instances {
ASN2-CoC-vpn1 {
instance-type vrf;
interface em0.0;
route-distinguisher 172.25.0.4:1;
vrf-target target:1:1;
protocols {
bgp {
group ASN2 {
type external;
local-address 10.0.4.14;
family inet {
labeled-unicast;
}
export VRF-to-BGP;
peer-as 2;
neighbor 10.0.4.13;
}
}
}
}
}

lab123@R4# run show route protocol bgp advertising-protocol bgp 10.0.4.13

ASN2-CoC-vpn1.inet.0: 5 destinations, 5 routes (5 active, 0 holddown, 0 hidden)
Prefix Nexthop MED Lclpref AS path
* 10.0.4.24/30

I think I've figured this out. Because the CoC model I'm creating is advertising a prefix towards an AS that has already sourced that prefix BGP sees a loop so I need to add AS loops in the BGP config.
