  • 1.  Does instance-import override master's routing?

    Posted 06-29-2017 21:59

    Hi all,

When we have master inet.0 and routing instance ISP.inet.0
the master routing table inet.0 set the default route to next-hop 1.1.1.1, with that ISP.inet.0 set the default route to next-hop 2.2.2.2. What happens when we add instance-import policy with content accept from instance master routing table from routing instance ISP.inet.0.
The result, ISP.inet.0 have two default route with different next-hop or only next-hop 2.2.2.2?

    Thanks a lot

    Hi Nguyen Huy Hoang

You will see both the routes. If you have not set manual preference/metric value in the static routes then the route inside the instance will continue to be the active one.
