    Hi,

Numbers without route resolution (single-hop eBGP session):

max BGP routes for RE-S-1300-2048 => 13 mio (x-DPC are limited to 32k)

max BGP routes for RE-S-2000-2048 => 15 mio (x-DPC are limited to 32k)

Numbers with route resolution (iBGP or multi-hop eBGP) learned through 1000 BGP sessions:

max BGP routes for RE-S-1300-2048 => 2.8 mio (1.4mio prefixes with 2paths each)

max BGP routes for RE-S-2000-2048 => 3.5 mio (1.75mio prefixes with 2 paths each) OR

max BGP routes for RE-S-2000-2048 => 6 mio (600k prefixes with 10 paths each)

    FIB IPv4 capacity: 1.6 mio

    Kind Regards

    Michael Pegament

    mio stands for millions -

I believe that in his post Mike P is refering to the limits on the DPCE-X card versus the other cards.

    Hi! Mike!

Wat acctually the difference between route resolution with single-hop  BGP and multi-hop BGP (or iBGP). Why we have so reduced MAXIMUM Ipv4 prefexes per RE in a case of multi-hop eBGP?
And would u so kind to answer where can we find the same info for other RE ?
