IPv6-tunneling for static LSP...

‎08-14-2013 05:32 AM

Hi All !

I have configured some static LSP (without LDP and RSVP) and enable ipv6-tunneling through mpls (for 6PE). Unfortunately it seems that all my statics LSP are not converted and copied to inet6.3

Any reason ?

I didn't find any answers on Juniper docs and forums...

Thanks for your help.

Salah

HI Salah,

By default Static LSP are installed in the inet.0 not in inet.3, and ipv6-tunneling CLI  under protocol mpls only copy the mpls lsp from inet.3 to inet6.3.

Because static lsp is not there in inet.3 so it will not be copied to inet6.3 by ipv6 tunneling config under mpls.

I agree with Amonge.

Please have a look here :

salah@LS:R8> show configuration protocols mpls
ipv6-tunneling;
static-label-switched-path r8-to-r2 {
    ingress {
        next-hop 10.200.158.5;
        to 10.200.1.2;
        push 0;
    }
}
static-label-switched-path r8-to-r3 {
    ingress {
        next-hop 10.200.158.5;
        to 10.200.1.3;
        push 0;
    }
}

interface all;

Now let's look at the destination :

salah@LS:R8> show route 10.200.1.2/32 exact

inet.0: 357 destinations, 684 routes (357 active, 0 holddown, 0 hidden)
+ = Active Route, - = Last Active, * = Both

10.200.1.2/32      *[IS-IS/18] 3d 00:03:26, metric 20
                    > to 10.200.158.5 via ge-0/0/8.158

inet.3: 7 destinations, 7 routes (7 active, 0 holddown, 0 hidden)
+ = Active Route, - = Last Active, * = Both

10.200.1.2/32      *[MPLS/6/1] 00:00:53, metric 0
                    > to 10.200.158.5 via ge-0/0/8.158, Push 0

As you can see, static LSP are created on inet.3....

So...

Do you have family mpls configured in the core links?

yes, as well family inet.6 for the RR and router which offer 6PE services...

All the loopback are present except thos with static LSP (10.200.1.2 and 10.200.1.3)  :

salah@LS:R8> show route table inet.3

Try this:

set routing-options rib inet6.3 static route ::ffff:10.200.1.2/128 static-lsp-next-hop

kudos if it helps Smiley Happy

Hi Amonge,

Thanks for your help. Well I can't use static route.... :-)

Do you have an other idea ? :-)
