M120 prefix limit

‎04-29-2019 04:50 AM

We have a number of M120s which are being replaced with MX480s. This will take a couple of monoths to complete. Within this time it is expected that the Internet routing table will exceed 768K prefixes. I am pretty sure that this is not an issue for the M120 but struggled to find any documentation regarding the prefix limit on a M120. Does anyone know or know where this is documented?

Thanks for reading!

Hello,

There is no default system-wide prefix-limit enabled on M120 if that's Your question. You can enable one if You want to under [edit routing-options]

https://www.juniper.net/documentation/en_US/junos/topics/reference/configuration-statement/maximum-p...

The M120 RIB scale is 2.8M IPv4 routes and FIB scale is 1M IPv4 routes.

HTH

Thx

Alex
