Hello forum guys, 

I have installed MIC card for MX80 router. I did followingsteps:

1) Router was upgraded to newst soft 15.1. 

admin@MX-80-1-Feve3-Rack-21# run show version

2.MIC card (hot swappable) was instred to the available slot 1 without router reset. 

3.to bring card online, I typed: 

admin@MX-80-2-Feve3-Rack-21# run request chassis mic fpc-slot 1 mic-slot 1 online
FPC 1, MIC 1 does not support this command

4. Afer I checked card status, I got message " not supported" 

admin@MX-80-2-Feve3-Rack-21# run show chassis fpc pic-status
Slot 0 Online
PIC 0 Online 4x 10GE XFP
Slot 1 Online
PIC 0 Online 10x 1GE(LAN) SFP
PIC 1 Online 10x 1GE(LAN) SFP
PIC 2 Present MS-MIC-16G- Not Supported

5. No LED light on MIC card - card is dead! 

Is there anything I forget to do? I tried diffrent combination for " run request chassis mic ... " command and all return same output: 

FPC 1, MIC 1 does not support this command

Did you try reseating the MIC?

Can you provide output for:

show chassis hardware

Hello,

MS-MIC is supported only in rear slot on MX80.

Please re-plug Your MS-MIC. After re-plugging when online it should report interface ms-0/2/0.

Thanks for respond. Hm - I was following this HW guide:

There is nothing about rear slot. Do you know link to HW guide with rear slot usage? 

I will try rear slot today and let you know.

one more question guys - MIC card, has three LEDs

APP status - green

MIC status - green

online/offline - no light

Should I see " online/offline " light as well?
