    Hi All--

     

    There is (or was) an MX104 premium bundle described as "MX104 PREMIUM BUNDLE 4MIC SLOTS 2PS 2RES JUNOS CIF DVR WITH 8X480TV"

     

    Does anyone know what "CIF DVR WITH 8X480TV" refers to?

    I am pretty sure the last part of that is some sort of typo or accidentally included text (it sort of looks like something from a network DVR for security cameras).  The MX104-PREM-AC-BNDL is:

     

    MX104-premium bundle, 4 MIC slots, 2 PS, 2 Res  SW licenses included: JUNOS

     

    Meaning you can use all 4 MIC slots, it has 2 power-supplies, two routing-engines, and includes the JunOS software license.  You would still need to purchase licenses to use the built-in 10-gig ports, or to use any of the usually licensed services (Jflow, VPN, CGNAT, Stateful FW, advanced-routing, etc.).  

     

    Most of the online resellers use automated tools to parse the pricelist and generate a catalog, so likely just an error on a pricelist somewhere.

    That sounds likely, given that elsewhere the same vendor advertised MX's with "4 microphone slots" 🙂

    That is funny...  Maybe Juniper is about to start supporting Karaoke over MPLS?
