MX104 cpu high due to "agentd" process?

Hi all,

 

May i know the "agentd" process stand for what proceed? Is there any impact if i kill this "agentd" process?

agentd is related to telemetry , you can kill this process without any impact on traffic, but better option will open case to jtac

If you are not using JVSISION or Telemetry are are still seeing this agentd consuming high CPU cycles , you might have to use these commands  to fix it .

As a workaround, configure "set system processes SDN-Telemetry disable" and "deactivate groups junos-defaults routing-options enable-sensors" if telemetry is indeed not needed/configured.

 PR says that its cosmetic but we have seen that CPU being spiked due to this.

HI kronicklez, 

 

      Do let us know if the workaround helped. 

      If this didnt fix it then you might have to open a JTAC case in order to unerstand why agentD is utilizing CPU cycles.
