Multihop and Multipath

‎01-13-2014 08:27 AM

Hi,

I have a environment which look as the image below:

R5 is my router and the R1 is the ISP router. I want to get a BGP session between these two routers.
I need to receive just the default route from this ISP router. I made the routing policies.
The issue is about the multipath. I configured three static routes to R1 using three different gateways (R2, R3 and R4). I got a BGP session to R1 but I receive one default route only. Should I receive three default route to make the multipath work?
Is it possible that the ISP router has just one route back to my router?
The three static routes are active.

Thanks

To enable multipath you need to have more then one route for a single prefix, but in your case you are getting single route from ISP so how can do load balancing . Your topology diagram is also not visible (specially interested to know links availability) , if it is visible then it may be easier to suggest solution for your problem
