Problems with netflow on MX480

I am running 10.4R7.5 on an MX480 and have the following configuration:

sampling {
traceoptions {
file sampling-log size 5m files 5;
}
input {
family inet {
rate 50;
run-length 0;
max-packets-per-second 5000;
}
}
output { ## Warning: 'output' is deprecated
flow-server x.x.x.x {
port xxxx;
no-local-dump;
source-address x.x.x.x;
version 5;
}
}
}

I have this exact same config on an M10I. I run PRTG to as a collector. I am collecting all the data from the M10I but I receive nothing from the MX480.

The documentation is not very helpful to me.

Did someone else experience this as well? Or if you have not and it is working, what is your [ forwarding-options sampling ] stanza?

Btw, I have verified that I can reach the PRTG server with the source address and that the port is open in the firewall.

have you enabled sampling on the relevant interfaces?

interface ae1 {
        unit 0 {
                sampling {
                    input;
                    output;
                }
        }

sampling {
        input {
            family inet {
                rate 10;
                max-packets-per-second 7000;
            }
        }
        output {
            flow-server y.y.y.y {
                port 2055;
                autonomous-system-type origin;
                source-address x.x.x.x;
                version 5;
            }
        }
    }

# output is deprecated means you should configure "family inet output" instead.

Appart from configuring sampling explicitly at an interface, you can use the "then sample" action in a firewall filter applied to the interface.
