RFC 4182 - Removing a Restriction on the use of MPLS Explicit NULL

‎05-22-2017 01:07 AM

Hi,

According to the RFC there is no longer the obligation of removing the transport label when it's 0 and when there is also a service label.

Is there a way to change Junos behavior to not pop the transport label when your the penultimate-hop ? and to transmit the packet with two labels ( label 0 , and another service label)

Hi,

If I understand your query correctly, you are asking, whether there is any way in Junos to keep the transport label intact till the egress PE and do not perform penultimate hop popping?

If that is the case, you can do it so by using "explicit null" knob under [edit protocols mpls]

Thanks
