Routing enigma...

‎02-24-2010 09:41 AM

Hi,

I have a working Dial Up VPN between a SSG5 and a Shrew soft client.

The purpose is to ping a server inside a VLAN called "Video" (10.70.7.150) from the Shrew client (172.16.0.1).

Tunnel it's ok. Reports are ok. I can ping the SSG5 interface inside the Zone called Video (10.70.7.218) but I can't ping the server.

With a debug flow i find this:

****** 544272.0: <Video (5)/bgroup1> packet received [1442]******
  ipid = 20769(5121), @033b00f0
  packet passed sanity check.
  bgroup1:10.70.7.150/1424->224.16.17.56/47806,17<Root>
  no session found
  flow_first_sanity_check: in <bgroup1>, out <N/A>
  chose interface bgroup1 as incoming nat if.
  mcast packet. search mroute
  packet dropped,   mcast pak, no out if found

I think this is the problem. I can't find a solution to this problem....

What IF should i take as gateway of the Video Zone? How could I tell to SSG5?

Any ideas???

Thank you.

Hello,

The debug flow You posted is for UDP multicast pkt, not ICMP:

bgroup1:10.70.7.150/1424->224.16.17.56/47806,17<Root>
^
|
|
+---- 17 means UDP

I suspect that the default GW or netmask might be wrong on your "Video" server.
