    Hi,

Configurator tool shows two options for MX104 support.

PAR-ND-MX104-MX5    PSS Next Day Support for MX104-MX5-AC and MX104-MX5-DC MX104
PAR-ND-MX104            PSS Next Day Support for MX104MX104

Anyone knows difference between these two categories? Can we propose PAR-ND-MX104-MX5 instead of PAR-ND-MX104 for our MX104? Smiley Sad

    Hi,

Depends which product SKU you have purchased.

PAR-??-MX104-MX5 refers to the MX104-MX5-* product SKU, if you have this one then you can apply the cheaper support services.

    Hi thynard,

    Thanks!.

MX104-MX5-* product SKUs description states "MX104 Promotional SKU, MX5 equivalent". What is meant by "MX5 equivalent", appriciate if you could explain this as well Smiley Happy

The -mx5 is basically a bundle that provides a configuration with the equivelant port capabilities as an mx5. If your selling your customer the mx104-mx5-ac sku then you use the -mx5 service sku with it. If you are just selling the standard mx104 with custom configuration then you would use the standard par sku.  Here is an exmaple of the mappings...

    mx104-ac = par-nd-mx104

    MX104-MX5-AC = par-nd-mx104-mx5

    And btw...

par sku's are only for resellers that do partner support for juniper, if your customer is calling you instead of jtac. If they are going to be calling jtac directly then you want the svc-nd-mx105/svc-nd-mx105-mx5 sku instead.
