The shaping of `class of service`

‎02-20-2019 07:05 PM

Hi

I've set the shaping of the traffic-control-profiles on one circuit what connects to my upstream provider.

This purpsoe is to avoid using too much traffic by specific customer.

But the question is how to not shape other cusomters  while cross this interface ?

=============================================================

set class-of-service traffic-control-profiles LAX-OUT scheduler-map OUT-MAP
set class-of-service traffic-control-profiles LAX-OUT shaping-rate 100g
set class-of-service traffic-control-profiles LAX-OUT shaping-rate burst-size 1g

set class-of-service interfaces ae7 output-traffic-control-profile LAX-OUT

=============================================================

Best regards,

Cloud

Hello,

The simplest thing would be to use a policer instead of shaper for this customer.

But if You insist on using shaping and ONLY for this customer, put his traffic into a dedicated queue and shape only this queue

Thx
