    Hi,

    >show chassis hardware

is your friend. This is the output from an EX3200 switch, please mind the end of the line:

    Power Supply 0   REV 04   740-020957   AT0509283714      PS 320W AC

    Hi,

too simple .... in this case " show chassis hardware" is my enemy !!!

on J-series the power supply has no description.

    FPC 6            REV 05   750-017708   xxxxx            FPC
PIC 0                                                  1x GE SFP uPIM
Power Supply 0               /* no more output /*

i'm talking about J-series not M or EX.

Maybe i miss something but none of the option in "show chassis" show whch type of power supply is inserted (i mean AC or DC).

    Hi,

yes it seems that on J-Series really doesn't expose if its AC or DC. Yesterday I had not J-Series router in range to test. I'm not aware of any other method that shows you hardware details except "show chassis hardware".

Sorry that I don't have better news.
