monitor interface irb.xx

I am facing strange problem when I run monitor interface irb.xx its not show me the same value in the physical interface thats member of the BD there is only one interface in the bridge domain any idea ?

   The irb interface is a layer3 interface, so i suppose will show you only the broadcast, multicast and unicast packets that should be processed by the router. If you want to see Layer 2 traffic as STP, i suppose you will have to configure traceoptions under stp configuration.

 

   If you configure sampling, or port mirroring on both interface and compare results, i pretty sure this will be the difference.
