Hi all, 

I'm so confused about suffixes system id on protocol isis. 
When I show "show isis database"
user@host> show isis database

IS-IS level 1 link-state database:

What is different between glacier.00-00 and glacier.02-00 and what functions of 2 system-id?
Sometimes, I see that suffixes on protocol ISIS can be 03-00.

glacier.02-00 - designated intermediate system (DIS)

Hi,

For each LAN segment there should be a DIS.  Except 00-00 all LSPs in the "show isis database"  whether 02-00, 03-00 or 04-00 are generated by Designated Intermediate System (DIS).

The pseudo-node (handled by the DIS) also advertises it's LSP.

glacier.00-00 = glacier LSP

glacier.02-00 = pseudo-node LSP
