    Hi All,

     

    Anyone know what the "!<10>" means in the output of this traceroute command?

     

    xxx@xxx# run traceroute 194.168.8.100
    traceroute to 194.168.8.100 (194.168.8.100), 30 hops max, 52 byte packets
    1 * * *
    2 * * *
    3 10.20.30.1 (10.20.30.1) 0.678 ms 0.521 ms 0.511 ms
    4 cache2.service.xxxx.net (194.168.8.100) 0.498 ms !<10> 1.027 ms !<10> 0.857 ms !<10>

     !<num>	 ICMP unreachable code <num>.

    And ICMP type 3 (Type 3 is for Dest.Unreach) code 10 is

    10	Communication with Destination Host is Administratively Prohibited	[RFC1122]
