vt inteface numbering

‎02-28-2017 01:53 PM

Hi Experts,

                  I am running 16.2R1-S2 and trying to add the vt- interface to flowtap , but I cant seem to add anything apart from port 0 or port 10 i.e vt-x/y/0 or vt-x/y/10 i.e I dont see the interface created it if I specify vt-x/y/3 for example , I tried this on MPC7 MPC3E and MPC 3D but see the same behavior.

 Is this working as expected or should we be able to specify it ? is this documented somewhere

Thanks

Samit

HI,

Have you included tunnel tunnel-services statement in chassis fpc x pic y ?

chassis {
    fpc 0 {
         pic 0 {
             tunnel-services;
        }
   }

}

Hi,

Yes tunnel-services was configured under chassis at pic level but I couldnt specify port number for the vt interface in the format vt-x/0/z it would default to vt-x/0/0 or vt-x/0/10

Thanks

Samit

Hello,

When you specify a bandwidth of 1g, the port number is always 10. When you specify any other bandwidth, the port number is always 0.
