Bases Loaded with Cloud, Contrail and AppFormix – Are you ready for a Juniper Grand Slam?

The OpenStack Summit in Boston is back today for its first visit to Beantown since 2011, and the thousands of attendees at this must-attend open infrastructure conference will choose from hundreds of sessions that they want to see. This global community of developers and advocates will share user success stories, deployments plans, and lessons learned. We’re excited to be here to participate, but also to announce our latest updates to Contrail!

With our most recent enhancements to Juniper Networks™ Contrail® Networking™, which has been recognized as the #1 commercially available SDN controller for OpenStack, we are extending its scalability and versatility to containers, enabling our customers to run cloud-native applications. In order to do this, Contrail Networking is now tightly integrated with Kubernetes. Due to this enhancement, our customers can seamlessly run their applications in various computes across multi-cloud environments. I highly encourage everyone to look at our comprehensive updates on Contrail Networking here.

Combining these Contrail enhancements with Juniper Networks AppFormix®, our newly added cloud optimization and management platform, provides what we believe to be a home-run of a solution to help our customers build Intent-Driven Clouds. We look forward to educating everyone on how we improve service assurance for multi-clouds with AppFormix, using machine learning to detect and predict failures and proactively ensure optimized cloud operation.

By partnering, or rather co-innovating, with a wide variety of customers, Juniper pushes Contrail forward by understanding a plethora of customer use-cases, pain points, and different ways to build better networks. Contrail Networking works with Tier-1 customers in the Enterprise, SaaS, Telco, and Cable segments— Riot Games, eBay Classifieds, Symantec, Workday, CloudSeeds, AT&T, Vodafone, Orange, Saudi Telecom, Cox Communications, and Juniper IT along with government organizations, Consumer Products IT, and a US Satellite company. By having strong partnerships with these customers, Juniper is able to maintain consistent market leadership from OpenStack users, as well as analysts, and enhance our products and solutions to meet ever-changing needs.

We’re excited to share how all of this is becoming a reality. We have a great lineup of activities in OpenStack Summit this week. First up at-bat, come see our demos at Booth A1 at OpenStack Summit, and check out our sessions. Next up is OpenContrail Day, the full day event on May 10th at 9AM at the Sheraton Commonwealth Ballroom focusing on bringing open source communities together to deliver the best technologies to users. Speakers from AT&T, Cox Communications, Riot Games, Red Hat, and Avi Networks will share their experiences using OpenContrail. Please join us to discuss new use cases, product features, and progress related to our open source project.

And since no visit to Boston is complete without visiting Fenway Park, we are hosting the OpenContrail User Group meeting at the home of the Red Sox, followed by dinner. Don’t strike out on a chance to join fellow users to share stories – register now.
