  • 1.  Allow SRX TFTP backups over a WAN

    Hi All,

     

    Running a SRX240 version 12.1x46-d35.1

     

    What I would like to be able to do is backup up the SRX to a remote TFTP server over the WAN. Everything works fine with the local site SRX but the remote site will not allow TFTP, the error I get is a Transfer Timed Out.

     

    I installed a TFTP server in the remote site and I am able to backup to that local TFTP server without any issues, it just won’t work over the WAN. Does anyone know what needs to be done to allow TFTP backups over a WAN??

    Hi Tim,

     

    Please check if you have tftp enabled in the host-inbound-traffic system-services for your WAn zone ?

    Hi,

     

    Which command are you using for the TFTP backup?

    AFAIK, tftp is not possible unless from the shell.

     

    FTP or scp maybe better options.
