Hello! I would like to understand any details about configuring fxp0 in SRX chassis cluster/
1. Can I place fxp0 into custom routing-instance ?
2. If I can, this is done by the same rules as the physical interface?
What is the SRX prodcut that you are using, every SRX model has defined set of ports in chassis cluster.
You cannot put the fxp0 in custom-routing-instance. It is not supported at all.
Hi vlazarev,
The fxp0 port is dedicated as the out-of-band management interface and it cannot be used in any routing instances or made part of any zones.
it is strictly for management.
Following KB article help you with configuring fxp0 and understand it.

rparthi,
Thanks for details!
Can I get the Management access via telnet or SSH through interface RETH ?
Hi Vlazarev,
Yes. You can take management or SSH access through reth interfaces.
In another words, there is no principal difference how i will manage my Chassis cluster ( via fxp0 or RETH).
If it is so, thank you for your answer!
