Database of names of static clients (hosts) of individual computers - SRX 240H

Hi, I'm new and only learning SRX 240h and Junos

Is it possible in the SRX240H firewall to create entries of static computers (hosts) lists from the local network, e.g.
192.168.1.1 - comp1
192.168.1.2 - comp2
192.168.1.3 - comp3
...
192.168.1.20 - printer-office

Like a database of all client names in the network associated with the ip address.

I mean such a database of hosts (clients) - something like the hosts file in Win ...

Hi Robert,

 

Basically the hosts file in windows is used to map an IP address with domain names for name resolution.

 

If your idea is to add static DNS entries in SRX just like windows hosts file, please find the procedure in the following KB article - https://kb.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=KB26800
