I am seeing these messages on syslog server from my SRX 3400. Not sure what they mean...can anybody help please...

i have same messages with a 650 cluster running 10.0R2.10. also saw them with 10.0R1.8.

as far as i can tell right now, the gencfg messages are from something during a commit.

just before these errors, i have:

not quite the i2c error, but something similar. maybe part of the reason why my ha light still doesn't work.

For what it's worth, I was seeing these GENCFG err's on a few SRX100's on 10.0R1.8 and R2.10.  I also noticed my HA light wasn't functional on a 650 cluster on those software versions (though I'm not positive whether or not we were seeing the GENCFG errors there).

Upgraded to 10.0R3.10 and I'm no longer seeing the GENCFG err's, and the HA light is working properly on my 650 cluster.

The GENCFG errors were a false positive or something that should not have been reported in the logs.  This is from JTAC.  As per pervious post, the issue should be resolved in the latest version.

Apologies, I seem to have spoken too soon.

I am still seeing the Gencfg Blob errors on 10.0R3.10 during commit on both SRX100 and 650 cluster.  My HA light *is* functioning with 10.0R3.10 though, and definately was not previously.

Per previous posts, I'll just continue to ignore these....

As a precaution, you should contact JTAC and get some info on the error.  I was told it was going to be fixed in newer versions but not sure if it was and if not, when it will be fixed.  Better to be safe. 🙂

I just Had the same problem,  the solution was to set de default route for management.

set routing-options static route 0.0.0.0/0  next-hop x.x.x.x

These are the error which came while we admin up the  fpc in any slot or power up then during post test these alarm generated , but after 5 min after completed the power on self test , all alarm vanish .

So no need to upgrade it will work fine after that.

are you running VPN? i.e. for GENCFG

for i2c, may be it is related to FPGA.
