HA Cluster - Configuration not updating on Secondary Node

‎03-01-2015 09:06 PM

Hi All,

I have SRX HA cluster set-up successfully. But when I edit config on Node 0, the other secondary node will not update it's config.

I believe the expected behaviour is such that when you commin on one node, the other one updates automatically?

When I do a commit , it completes successfully as below:

configuration check succeeds
node1:
commit complete
node0:
commit complete

Also, here's an autput of >show chassis cluster status:

root@srx3> show chassis cluster status
Cluster ID: 1
Node Priority Status Preempt Manual failover

Redundancy group: 0 , Failover count: 1
    node0 254 primary no no
    node1 1 secondary no no

Redundancy group: 1 , Failover count: 1
    node0 200 primary yes no
    node1 0 secondary yes no

Redundancy group: 2 , Failover count: 1
    node0 100 primary yes no
    node1 0 secondary yes no

Any Leads to what could be the problem?

Regards,
Willys W.

Looking at your paste about the commit statement. The commit did

push the config towards the other part of your cluster.

You can check the config to logging on to node0 of your cluster

marcel@node0.lab> request routing-engine login node 1

Their you can check the config if it is the same as on you primary node after a commit

If you are not sure you can pull the config from the master node towards the secondary, this only works

when you are logged in on you secondary node

marcel@node1.lab> request chassis cluster configuration-synchronize

IF that does not help can you attach your config so we can have a look, Also looking at the logfiles will help find

problems with the sync of the configs on a commit statement

When I commit on one of my lab clusters I see the same (Cluster is working)

marcel@node0.cluster2.lab# commit and-quit
node0:
configuration check succeeds
node1:
commit complete
node0:
commit complete
Exiting configuration mode

Marc
