  • 1.  Hours to require to pass JNCIS-ENT

    Posted 03-25-2014 06:39

    Hi Savvy,

I would like to know how many hours are require to pass JNCIS-ENT with the 2 fasttracks documents.  I have a CCNA, CCNA-VOICE and passed CCNP-Route exam 3 years ago.  What would be a reasonable hours need for me to pass this certification?

    Thanks

    Whlee

Everyone is different and has more or less difficulty in retaining the training.  I think your best bet to get an idea of how much you need to learn would be to go to the sample test and see what your score is out of the gate.

This will give you a good idea of what your gaps are in Juniper knowledge.

Use the detailed objectives for the exam then as the checklist for the holes in your knowledge.

In addition to what spuluka said, take alook at this information.

    Recommended Training:

Junos Intermediate Routing (JIR) (from classroom standpoint, 16 hours for training and labs)
Junos Enterprise Switching (JEX) (from classroom standpoint, 16 hours for training and labs)

    Additional Resources:
Depending on the doucuments you read, 48-60 hours; though you may only need to read the ones relevant to your course JNO-643)
        Junos documentation
Junos documentation for EX Series switches
        Real-world hands-on experience
Then you will probably need time to go over the material once or twice again depending on your memory, so throw in say another 32 hours.

    So say about 100 hours!

Now I have seen students take the courses and at the end of class on Friday they go take the exam and pass. So that would be 32 hours. As spuluka said, your memery s key.
