  • 1.  J2300 boot from TFTP - is that possible?

    Hi everybody,

     

    Does anyone happen to know if J-series (in particular J2300) can be booted from TFTP?

     

    I'm looking for something similar to the existing branch SRX feature

    However when I try the same, I only get "OK" , "boot>" and "db" prompts, in which "install tftp:// ...."

    command is not working.

    Hi P.K,

     

    Tftp upgrade does not work on the J-series devices because there is no u-boot or loader present in J-series.To recover the J-series from ok or db prompt,you need to use the snap shot from other working J-series device or install JUNOS install-media .
