Hi

You could verify checksum of the package downloaded and ensure that it is same as provided in support website.

If checksum of package is correct, you could also try using no-validate switch and check that resolves the problem.

tar: Unexpected EOF in archive

Looks like your firmware image file is corrupted or truncated. What is the filesize or md5 hash?

Hi Abdulkarim,

WARNING: Current configuration not compatible with /altroot/cf/packages/install-tmp/junos-12.1X44-D40.2-domestic

Existing 11.4 configuration is not compatible with 12.1X44

Try uploading new 12.1X44-D40 image for this device and then run the following command to validate why configuration is not compatible.

request system software add /var/tmp/junos---.tgz validate no-copy

This validate option will show which part of current config is not supported in 12.1X44

Correct the reported configuration and then upgrade again.

Further to the above I once had an issue with a 240h cluster that would no upgrade.

I had to upgrade the cluster nodes individually and out of band.
