Link Aggregation LACP

‎06-29-2015 05:20 AM

Hi,

As a active/passive, there are 2 srx and a chassis that consisting of 5 4200 EX switches. Reth0 is covering all srx interfaces. Is the following design correct? If not why? And what is the best practice?

SRX/node0  ge-2/0/0-------------ae0------------>ge-0/0/0 EX

SRX/node0  ge-2/0/1-------------ae0------------>ge-0/0/1 EX

SRX/node0 ge-2/0/2-------------ae0------------>ge-1/0/0 EX

SRX/node0 ge-2/0/3-------------ae0------------>ge-1/0/1 EX

SRX/node1  ge-9/0/0-------------ae1------------>ge-0/0/2 EX

SRX/node1  ge-9/0/1-------------ae1------------>ge-0/0/3 EX

SRX/node1 ge-9/0/2--------------ae1------------>ge-1/0/2 EX

SRX/node1 ge-9/0/3--------------ae1------------>ge-1/0/3 EX

Thanks.

EE

Hello ,

This is correct . Only make sure that all the 8 interfaces are in same reth interface and LACP should be enabled .

Please check the doc : http://kb.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=KB22474

Hi,

In previous topology you said it was correct. How about the following topology? If it is not correct, why the reason?

SRX/node0  ge-2/0/0---------------------ae0------>ge-0/0/0 EX

SRX/node0  ge-2/0/1---------------------ae0-------->ge-0/0/1 EX

SRX/node1  ge-9/0/0---------------------ae0------->ge-1/0/2 EX

SRX/node1  ge-9/0/1---------------------ae0------->ge-1/0/3 EX

SRX/node1  ge-9/0/0---------------------ae1------>ge-0/0/2 EX

SRX/node1  ge-9/0/1----------------------ae1----->ge-0/0/3 EX

SRX/node0 ge-2/0/2-----------------------ae1----->ge-1/0/0 EX

SRX/node0 ge-2/0/3-----------------------ae1----->ge-1/0/1 EX

Thanks

Hello ,

This topology is possible provided the switch also runs in Chassis cluster or VC

Thanks,
