Hello,

 

Please refer to the following KB and make sure the syslog settings are configured properly.

Default Syslog Settings

By default, only critical messages are logged to a local file known as messages on the SRX Series device. The following configuration shows the default log settings:

system {
    syslog {
        user * {
            any emergency;
        }
        file messages {
            any critical;
            authorization info;
        }
        file interactive-commands {
            interactive-commands error;
        }
    }
}

Note that on some higher end SRX they can generate logs at a higher rate than can be stored locally.  For these logging is set to stream mode so that all logs generated are sent to the sys log server.  You can add to this and set to a local file too.

Umesh,

 

Perhaps it's the configuration on the device.

 

Can you provide the output of 'show system syslog' please?

 

Additionally, are you talking about not seeing syslog or are these traffic-logs you need to see?

Hi Umesh,

Please try following and verify if it helps to generate the logs.

>edit
#set system syslog file messages any any
#commit confirmed 10
# run show log messages

Hi Umesh,

 

If the suggestions presented to you does not resolve the issue, could you please update the forum with the following:

 

1) Which SRX model and version

2) Provide clarification to your issue (e.g., what kind of device logs and what are you seeing instead of the expected output).
